Cal Poly Men's Basketball -

In my work with Cal Poly Men’s Basketball, I contributed to the team’s digital presence by creating and publishing real-time content across Instagram and X. During games, I managed feed and story coverage, producing a mix of short-form videos, graphics, photo carousels, and live updates to drive engagement and keep followers connected to the action.

Throughout the week, I attended practices to capture behind-the-scenes content and conduct player interviews, which I developed into engaging reels and feature posts. I was responsible for concepting, filming, and editing this content to align with the team’s voice and broader athletic brand.

At the end of the season, I had the incredible opportunity to represent Cal Poly Athletics and CP Men's Basketball at the Big West Tournament in Henderson, Nevada, and it's an experience I won't soon forget! I continued my regular duties of Social Media Manager for the team, but the tournament brought that responsibility to a new level, with a larger audience, higher stakes, and an even greater need for seamless coordination. From capturing practice and pregame content to collaborating in real time with our photography team, videographer, and graphics lead, every post was a team effort, on and off the court.

My work contributed to measurable growth, including an increase of over 1,000 followers during the season, higher in-game attendance compared to previous years, and increased on-campus awareness of the program. The account reached higher traffic than ever before, surpassing 1 million profile views at the end of the season.

This experience strengthened my skills in sports marketing, real-time content creation, audience engagement strategy, and brand storytelling.

MySkin Social

MySkin Social -

MySkin Social is a startup skincare app dedicated to streamlining acne solutions by connecting users to a supportive peer community and providing the educational resources needed to close the knowledge gaps that so often prolong the acne struggle. It's a brand built around authenticity and connection, something that I have loved being a part of.

In my role as Brand and Social Strategy Intern, I've had the opportunity to contribute across both strategy and execution. On the strategy side, I've pitched content concepts including reels, carousels, and infographics, conducted analytical insights across the account, and researched influencers for brand events. I also developed content ideas designed to build anticipation around the app's launch, creating posts that highlighted its unique features and community-driven mission.

What makes this experience especially meaningful is the chance to show up as an authentic voice for the brand. I've contributed my own face to content, conducted skincare product case studies, and engaged with the app as a real user, not just a marketer. That kind of first-person involvement has shaped how I think about brand storytelling. I have learned that the most effective content doesn't just promote a product, it demonstrates a relationship with it.

As I continue, I'll be stepping further into event planning and on-site execution, bringing the same intentional, community-first approach to in-person brand building.

ESPN: The CJ Silas Show -

During my time at The CJ Silas Show, I held multiple roles, gaining hands-on experience in content production, social media strategy, and team management.

As YouTube Producer, I filmed and edited weekly reels, designed brand visuals (thumbnails & banners), and produced engaging longform videos. I developed innovative content strategies that increased subscriptions, viewership, and video output. I also introduced short, fun reels to promote the show, which became the most popular social posts, boosting engagement and community interaction.

After being promoted to Co-Lead Intern, I managed a team of interns, ensuring deadlines were met and projects were executed effectively. I served as the primary liaison between the team and our boss, CJ Silas. I also oversaw the production of the show’s podcast and managed the LinkedIn page. In this capacity, I became proficient in Adobe Audition and Libsyn for podcast editing and learned to create professional content highlighting CJ’s career milestones on LinkedIn.

These experiences strengthened my skills in communication, collaboration, and leadership, while giving me a versatile toolkit applicable across all of my subsequent roles in media.
